By Tunde Alao

THE Lagos Water Corporation (LSWC) has completed its 12 World Bank-assisted micro water projects across the state.

The project, originally planned for 15 local councils of the state, are ready for commissioning, while contracts for the remaining three had been awarded.

Speaking with reporters at the Corporation's headquarters in Ijora yesterday, Group Managing Director, LSWC, Shayo Holloway, said the projects "are set for commissioning any moment from now."

The projects are in Epe, Ikorodu, Badore, Ikate/Itire, Magodo-Shangisha, Imeke Iworo road, Mende, Ojokoro, Ajangbadi, Meiran, Isheri-Osun and Ajegunle.

Holloway said the new water works would be commissioned by Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola alongside a new Independent Power Project (IPP) at the Iju-Akute Waterworks, which has been the major source of portable water supply in Lagos State.
